Many adaptations of DBA for other periods exist. A version of rules allowing to play the armies of the period of the generalized use black powder (1500 to 1900) exists since version 1.1 of DBA.
It is the version, adapted to DBA 3.0 that we are preparing to use in order to play two conflicts for which, my sons and I have developed armies: the war of 30 years and the Napoleonic epic.
Here are the pages of this blog dedicated to this version (the photos of armies will follow later because many of our figurines for these medieval post periods are not totally finished (soclage or painting for a few pads of the war of 30 years)
How to play this black powder period?
- Extension DBA 1500-1900
It is not an extension for the v3.0 but for the 1.1 It dates but that does not matter. We use it without real change with 3.0. This extension allows to play armies between the XVIth century and the end of the XIXth century.
- La version en français de cette version (French edition)
The English version remains indispensable for the lists of armies.
The XVIIth century wars ("Le grand siècle")
- 1643 Battle of Rocroi
A battle for which I constitute the armies of the two forces in presence: the Spaniards of the tercios de Mello and the French army of the young Louis XIV, led by the admirable Duke d'Enghien (future great Conde)
- My "armée de Picardie" (French, battle of Rocroi)
The Napoleonic period ("L'épopée")
- Würtemberg kingdom, "VIIIème corps de la grande armée"; the german campaign of 1809- Anglais 1808-1810 (Guerre d'Espagne)
